Play Area opening

On Saturday, 12th October 2024, families from the village came along for the official opening of the redeveloped play area.  The weather behaved, and it was lovely to see and hear lots of children making the most of the two new play units, one of which replaced an old condemned wooden fort.  Certainly, the improvements seem to have got the approval from the girls and boys, one of whom officially cut the ribbon, and the play area is now fit for the growing number of young families in the village.

The Parish Council are extremely grateful for all the generous donations;  from the National Lottery, Stoke St Mary Village Hall, The Watt family and others who wish to remain anonymous.  Without their generosity, this project would not have been possible.  Thanks also to Liz Fothergill, who drove the fundraising campaign.
